Winter activities
Together with the Bregenzerwald and Gross Walsertal region Damüls offers a vast selection of winter activities. The Hotel Walisgaden offers direct access to the pistes of Damüls and the 3-Valleys ski region. The ski area can be explored on your own, with friends or in the company of the Damüls ski school. The choice is yours. Whatever you choose, our multi-facetted ski area cannot fail to impress.
Damüls-Mellau ski area
Awarded 5 stars by www.skiresort.de, a leading test portal, and described as “a ski area in a class of its own”, our ski area is accessible from two villages. Mellau is located down in the valley, Damüls at an altitude of 1,432 metres. Skiers and freeriders love the impressive views and almost limitless ski slopes, which offer a good combination of sunny south-facing slopes and the reliable snow conditions found on those facing north. Hotspot for the freestylers is the Damüls Snowpark. The mountain terrain surrounding Damüls is also perfect for freeriding and ski touring, offering a vast variety of wonderful powder runs and tempting ski routes. A number of viewpoints located at altitudes of up to 2,000 metres offer superlative panoramic views of the surrounding area.
3 Valleys ski pass
Visitors skiing in the Bregenzerwald for a minimum of 2.5 days can obtain the 3-Valleys ski pass. This is valid for all ski areas in the Bregenzerwald, the neighbouring Gross Walsertal and the Tiroler Lechtal, as well as some areas in the Allgäu in Germany. In addition, the pass is valid for travel on the ski buses providing a connecting service between the various ski resorts. Upon payment of a supplement, holders of the 3-Valleys ski pass can also ski over to Lech Zürs am Arlberg and thus explore the Ski Arlberg area.
Ski courses and child supervision
Damüls ski school offers a wide selection of services including child supervision, children’s ski courses including supervised lunches, and even snowmobile rides through Bunny’s race course.
A kindergarten catering for children from one to six years of age is located in the top station of the Mellau cable car. The service operates from Monday to Friday and is free of charge.

Uga toboggan run, Damüls
We have several slopes which provide the perfect place to go tobogganing, both during the day and in the evening. Most of these toboggan runs are accessible either by road or lift, and some of them are even floodlit. The 2.5 km long natural toboggan run in Damüls is a favourite venue, and is floodlit every Monday and Friday from 19.30 to 21.30. The starting point is accessible from the Uga chairlift.

If you prefer something completely new why not try husky sledging, spending a night in an igloo or soaring through the air on a paraglider? There are so many activities out there just waiting to be discovered!
